Good Morning....and Happiest of Hump Days to you đ
Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?
Have you ever asked yourself this question? Just for a few minutes, put aside the roles you play in your every-day life.....and think back to when you were younger - before the influences of advertising, social media, peer pressure, conforming to what was âexpectedâ of youâŚ
Yesterday, I spoke about how we are so busy trying to replicate other peopleâs âperfect livesâ - the lives we see played out publicly for everyone to admire and strive for. A reminder that these are the edited highlights that people want us to seeâŚ.not the whole picture. For every perfect snapshot we see, there were so many hours, days, weeks, and years, that we arenât shown. The real daily lives.
Why not take a step back and think about the hopes and dreams, the ideas and plans that you once had, before the pressures of the world in which you exist, may have changed your path.
For some fortunate people, their lives will reflect these thoughtsâŚ. they really are living the life they had once hoped for, and dreamed of, and this is so beautiful.
But for others, those ideas and plans were put on a shelf to be done later (and now sit sadly, with years of dust on themâŚ), they got too busy with other responsibilities, living up to othersâ expectationsâŚâŚ or maybe just forgotten about...
Are you the person you were, before the world told you what to be?
Until next time,

Take care, Stay Safe and spend some time getting to know more about yourself đ
Hugs,
Pam

Hi Jan - I'm so glad you're happy with who you are....and I'm sure others are too. It's super important that we appreciate ourselves, as well as others đ
No, not quite. But maybe I still don't know who I'm suppose to be. I think I'm okay with who I am though and never really let others tell me how to act or who to be. I'm ok with me & hope others are too.
I so look forward to your words every morning! They are a perfect part of my morning routine. When I thought about this, I remember back to when I was young and I honestly only wanted to be a Mom. To raise children and someday be blessed with grandchildren to love and spoil. I had two beautiful children that I love dearly and discovered I was destined for more. I worked for 7 years to get my RN and have enjoyed a career both at the bedside and supporting the long term care industry with my knowledge and experiences. I have five beautiful and amazing grandsons today and relish the time I get with them. So as I am sâŚ
