Good Morning....and Welcome to Thursday 😊
As you've probably guessed by now, I love watching the waves on the ocean...
When I was super young, one of my favorite reads was "Rupert the Bear"....a British comic strip character created by an artist called May Tourtel, appearing first in the "Daily Express" newspaper (UK newspaper), on November 8th 1920. In 1935 the stories were taken over by Aslfred Bestell who worked on the stories and artwork into his 90's. Many of the stories were printed into books released annually, which my Mom always made sure Santa delivered on Christmas.

One of my very favorite stories was about Rupert meeting Neptune, and having an adventure in the ocean. The image of white horses in the foam of waves made such a huge impression on me, that I always think of galloping white horses when watching breaking waves....hence
"And my white horses gallop toward me" - To me in seems to encapsulate pure freedom💗
This is what I see...

Freedom is one of my five values that, like all my core values, is vital to my happiness and well being. It's one of those non negotiable elements of my life, whether it be my work, play or personal life, I need the freedom to try it for myself, to make the mistake myself, to choose myself.....to be myself.
I think absolutely everyone should understand what their core values are, and how they impact our lives. As you learn and become aware of what each of them are, you will see your values woven through the very fabric of your life....both from a personal standpoint, and in your career. By acknowledging your own core values, it becomes much easier to understand some of the factors that affect your decision making, and the choices you ultimately make.
There are some simple exercises you can do, to identify and name your core values, if you are unsure as to which values you most closely align with.
So, maybe today you can start to ponder on what Your core values are....and perhaps write them down. If you're struggling with this one - tomorrow I'll show you one of the simplest of exercises you can do to identify them.

Until next time,
Take care, Stay Safe.....and ponder on what you think the values, that you hold most dear to you, are.
Hugs,
Pam

“That Moment…”
Growing, Building, Sweeping
The waves approach the shore
Almost there…Apprehension gone
The Anticipation
The Expectation
The Tipping Point…
That absolutely perfect moment
The wave begins to unfurl
- Power Shifts
- Momentum Takes Hold
- Energy Surges…
And my White Horses gallop toward me

Another beautiful piece & exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you so much.
I have ben doing some work lately on re-discovering who I am at a deeper level. My Mom passed away about a month ago and the year and a half before that, I was heavily involved in being her healthcare advocate. As a Registered Nurse, my family always turns to me for medical information, or healthcare payment/regulatory information as I have worked heavily in that area as well. As I have advocated for my Mom (even though she was alert and oriented), it was my role to provide guidance and options for her to consider, and to explain all of that to my family. This time period has been very transformational for me. I miss her terribly, but …
