Pam's Daily Wave...

ree

Good Morning....and Happy Hump Day 😊

Most of us have days when we just feel a "little frayed at the seams"...recently, on one of those days, I walked to the beach, and this was the sight that greeted me. After taking a few photos, I found my favorite space on the beach, and luckily for me, there was no one there.

It only takes a moment of stillness, feeling the breeze on my face, and watching the waves unfurl on the shore, to center me again.

Although I spent the first 30 years of my life in my beach hometown in Scotland, it is only since buying and restoring our century old inn in Hatteras, 18 months ago, that I have been able to get to the beach whenever I want to... or need to.

So, for the large chunk of time in between (oh my, the chunk was really large....I must be getting old😁), I had to be very creative in finding places I could be still, and become whole again. For anyone that has read my earlier blogs, you will know that water is the element that calms and inspires me. If you haven't already, I would encourage you to read that blog, it's about how to find "your space". You can get to it quickly by using this hyperlink:

Once you have established what you need to create your own calming space, you can have fun working out the best way of recreating this space on a temporary basis, so you always have access to the place that can inspire and calm you, whenever you need it (for me, apps on my phone that reproduce the sound of ocean waves are awesome, I also used to watch a webcam of the beaches on the Outer Banks, especially at sunrise 😉).

In these days, when the world can be a little crazy....finding "Your Space" can make things a little easier to deal with. It can give you a place to escape to, where you can find your calmness again. I know this may sound a tad "woo woo", but I promise, it's not about singing "Kumbaya" and everything will be wonderful - finding what calms and inspires you, and being able to replicate the environment this creates, can be a game changer....and may just help you lead a happier life 💗

Until next time...

Take care, Stay Safe and Find Your Space!

Hugs,

Pam 😊

When the need to escape is upon me

….And I’m starting to fray at the seams

A short walk takes me to a special place…

that’s always there in my dreams

A place where I can be still,

Breathe…

Detach…

Unravel…

Let go…

Then…find the missing pieces….

find me, myself and I again

You’ll find me by the water -

My Haven…

My Sanctuary…

My Love…

My Atlantic Ocean

Beautiful poem, Pam. Thank you. I watch the sunrises and Buddy Swain is sending me his. I am so blest. God loves me so much that I don't see how He can have enough for everyone else, yet He does. Awesome!

A very lovely piece and the poem is wonderful. You start my day out out when I can "be at" the ocean & read your writings. I love your yard decor so much, so creative! Thank you for all.
