Pam's Daily Wave...

ree

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

Firstly, thank you so much for all the wonderful and inspirational messages and comments I received yesterday on my blog, on Facebook and privately messaged. You have no idea how happy it made me to think of so many people taking pleasure from watching my incredible dolphins. For those new to my blogs, you may find it strange that I refer to "my beach" (no I'm not incredibly wealthy and have my very own private beach.....it's just the beach closest to the inn 😄), and I certainly do not "own" "my" dolphins, on the contrary our natural world belongs to everyone..... and no-one 💗

I wanted to share the poem that I wrote after spending my magical time with the dolphins....I was reveling in the joy of the moment and thinking about how I feel when I float in the ocean (or any other body of water 😉)

Adrift...

Floating weightlessly on my ocean

the warm waves washing over my skin,

Untethered and free, my spirit soars

like the magnificent birds flying high above,

The rhythmic rocking of the beautiful waves

lulling me into calmness,

Liberated from my worries

my quietened mind gives thanks,

Replenished, my body rests

As I’m held in the water’s salty embrace,

Disconnected from the tumultuous world

Connected to my feelings, my mind, my body, my ocean….. my Atlantic Life

By Pam Buchholz

In our current "tumultuous" world, it's even more important that everyone tries to find the space, place or element that can give them peace and serenity....an oasis of calm 🧡

This morning I was rather spoiled when JB baked fresh biscuits for our guests and I was his "designated tester".......well, as southern biscuits remind me of Scottish scones (when I was young, my Mom made the absolute best scones), and traditionally we eat scones with butter and jam....so, I couldn't resist - a Scottish "Throwback" Thursday (and yes it's raining, so it feels even more like Scotland!!)

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....take the time to find the place that calms you....it'll change your life 🥰

Love and Hugs,

Pam

PS. It's a month since the atrocities began in the Ukraine, I will continue to keep their brave people in my thoughts and prayers 🙏

Thanks so much, I just write what I think and feel, without filtering them 😊

I’m going to re-read your poems (as they resonate so well) when I’m at the beach this April. They will be awesome captions with some of the pictures I’ll post. (Crediting you OFC). You have a great gift in writing. Thanks for sharing!

I love the poem! i enjoyed the different posts relating to your post from yesterday. There is something about dolphins that make everyone happy. I agree with the person that sees them and it always feels like the first time you see them. Love your poem, and so glad you share your world with us every day!
